Christmas and New Years have now come and gone - another holiday season survived! And now a few pictures…
The girls with their daddy on Christmas Eve getting ready to head to church
A few solo shots of the girls…
Irelyn was not having a good Christmas Eve – she wanted to wear Novalea’s dress and not her own adorable Christmas outfit. A huge tantrum occurred spanding about an hour and a half.
After church we went back home and opened our traditional Christmas Eve present – new jammies!
Then it was off to bed for the girls (with a few threats that if they didnt go to sleep then Santa wasnt going to come ) and Eric and I stayed up wrapping presents.
In the morning the girls were forced to wait to come downstairs – it was almost more then they could bare…
Finally they were given the “go-ahead” and the girls were in their glory – all except for Avaleen that is…she slept through all of the present opening! I have a feeling that next year she may feel a bit differently.
After the gifts were open and breakfast was consumed it was off to Grammy and Grandpa’s for more of the same thing. We spent the night then at my parents house and the next afternoon drove to Nana & Pop-pop’s for even more Christmas cheer.
We spent the night and then the Hubby’s parents threw Irelyn a small surprise belated birthday party – she loved it! Finally then, at about 6pm we make the trek back to our own home. When we arrived the girls were thrilled to rediscover all of the gifts they had opened on Christmas morning.
All in all a wonderful Christmas – next year however, there will be far less travelling. We have decided that if our families want to see us, they can come to us. Hauling around 3 small children and a van full of gifts for 3 days while driving 2 hours every day just doesn’t put the Christmas Spirit into us like you may imagine it would.
